Board Director
Matthew Groves serves as the President/CEO of the Colorado Automobile Dealers Association (CADA), representing Colorado’s 270 franchised new car dealers on transportation policy, taxation, and franchise law. He is the author of the Colorado Dealers Compliance Guide and hosts the Denver Auto Show each year at the Colorado Convention Center.
Matthew has guided the industry through the development of the low- and zero-emissions vehicles rules, building emissions, transportation demand management, rehabilitations of Colorado’s lemon law, warranty reimbursement rates, and rules surrounding Guaranteed Asset Protection waivers. He serves as board Chair of the Coalition to Simplify Colorado Sales Tax, the executive committee of the Colorado Civil Justice League, and is a member of Colorado Concern.
Matthew came to Colorado after seventeen years in Washington, D.C.; fourteen of those years served between federal law enforcement and Congressional staff. He is a graduate of the University of Maryland, the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, the Elon University School of Law, and Air Command Staff College. He lives in Denver with his wife, Babette, and daughter, Kennedy.
